Information for authors
Writing the paper
Use of the MWP2009 template is mandatory, and only papers following the instructions provided below will be considered.

Language: English

Format: Microsoft Word 6.0 (or later version.)
- Template: download the MWP2009 paper
template.
Do not change font or font-size or leading (line spacing). Do not include header or page numbers. Keep the size
of the page to Letter.

Paper title: In the title of the paper the initial letters should be capitalized in all words except articles and prepositions (e.g.: in, a, an, and, the, there, their, do, on, of, from, with, at etc.).

Authors identification: include affiliations of all authors, and full address including e-mail of the corresponding author.

Abstract: include an abstract of maximum 35 words in italic typeface.

Length: 2-4 pages (including figures) and no page numbers.

Fonts: use Times New Roman size 10 throughout, except for the title which should be Times New Roman 24, the authors name which should be Times New Roman 11 and abstract which should be Times New Roman 9.

Colors: Be aware that, when printed in black, colors in figures and text may be invisible.

Special characters: when inserting special characters in text use Insert Symbol (avoid code-numbers for the symbols).

Figures: Insert the figures and/or the tables in the text as 'picture'. File-format of figures should be JPG, TIFF or EPS (300-600 dpi) with all fonts embedded.
Before submission

PDF file: Papers should be converted to PDF and must be compliant with the IEEE PDF Standards, which will be used in the Conference Proceedings and CD-ROM without any further processing. We suggest you to use the IEEE PDF eXpress (conference ID is mwp09x).

If you have access to Adobe Acrobat you can generate a PDF file directly from your word document. Please remember to choose the print optimized version and please also note that the PDF file must not be locked (i.e. do not save the file as 'read-only').

It is also possible, from the Adobe Web-site,
to generate a PDF-file from a Word document. New users can convert up to five Word documents for free at Adobe PDF online

After the conversion: please print a paper copy of the PDF file and check for typos and conversion errors before uploading it.
Submitting your manuscript

Make sure that the following material is ready: Title, author's names, affiliation. If your title and abstract contains no special characters, and no sub- or sup-scripts, the text can be copied and pasted from your word document or typed in directly. Full paper (2-4 pages) including title, names, affiliation and abstract in PDF format. Preferred main and secondary topical area (the TPC reserves the right to change the authors' choice of topical area).

Once you have the material listed above ready, proceed with the electronic submission of your paper. Use the the abstract submission interface. to provide the main information on your paper. You will be given an id/password which must later be used to access the system during the following steps, so be careful to remember it. If you have difficulties in submitting your PDF file, please try to shorten its filename. If you want to withdraw a paper please contact the on-line submission tool administrator.

The on-line submission tool for regular papers will be open until 10th of June, 2009. After submission authors will be notified by 25th of July, 2009 regarding the status of their paper by email. Notifications are sent only to the corresponding author.

The on-line submission tool for post-deadline papers will be open until 1st of October, 2009. Notification regarding the status of post-deadline papers will be displayed at the message board of the registration area 14th of October, 2009.
Preparing your presentation

The time slot for oral presentation is 15 minutes for regular presentations and 30 minutes for invited talks. Chairs have been instructed to rigorously enforce the schedule, we would like to ask presenting authors for cooperation in keeping the schedule.

A video projector and a notebook will be available in the conference room. Presentation on own notebook is not allowed. There will be the same view on notebook as on the video projector.

Please be aware that it is your responsibility to have a running presentation on the following software suite: MS Office Powerpoint version 97/2000/XP or beyond or Adobe Acrobat Reader version 8 or beyond.

There will be a Media Room for oral presenters only. Please, report your presentation on an USB memory stick or CD-ROM at least one hour prior to your presenting time. We kindly ask you to test the correct functioning of your presentation before your session starts. For assistance please contact the responsible person in the Media Room on site.

Panels for poster presentation will be available from the 14th of October, 2009. Please display your poster at least with four hours prior to the poster session. Dimensions of the panel are
1.80 meters height x 0.65 meters width 1.80 m height x 1.20 m width. A poster sized A0 (118.8 cm x 84 cm) is recommended.
